The annual Dartmouth Food Festival celebrates its 21stanniversary in 2025 running from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th October 2025.
The ‘free to attend’ Food Festival is run by a fantastic team of volunteers and has grown consistently over this time to be a very important date in the Calendar for Dartmouth, and the whole of South Devon and this region in October every year.
Most of the food, drink and hospitality businesses of Dartmouth get involved in some way, celebrating all things food and beverage related, especially from this region that is so rich in producing such fabulous ingredients, producers and venues!
Additionally festival marquees, tents, and stalls are erected throughout the central Royal Avenue Gardens, centred around the Bandstand, and along the Embankment, to the River Dart and Dart Harbour waterfront as well as in the Old Market Square, many of the town’s pubs and restaurants – including at the George & Dragon.
There are an immense variety on offer, each featuring different food and drinks, as well as kitchen innovations and ideas. The main focus is always on the huge number of extremely popular and well attended, cooking demonstrations with local and ‘celebrity Chefs’, most of which are free to watch or participate in – There are just so many tasty things to try and all forms of entertainment running all around the town!
